New editor quirks - fixable?

Hey guys and gals!

I noticed that you have a brand spanking new editor in the Answers forum (and here). It’s nice but there is one thing that is bothersome.

I have a lot of stock answers (like water damage) and snippets (download cocountBattery) that I have saved in a Word document and I cut paste a lot. That saves me a considerable amount of time and allows me to answer more questions. However, with the new editor, when I copy text, it adds an extra line feed after every paragraph, even if there is none in the original text.

So if I write two paragraphs in Word, separated by a line feed, in the iFixit editor, it will show up with two line feeds. But I only see that when I submit the answer. Then the extra line shows up and I have to edit the answer to remove the extra line feed.

Can you take a look at this and hopefully find a solution?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I also noted the MacOS drag and drop function won't work either.

Hi @evan I’m not quite sure what you want me to do with pastebin. Here are some screen shots of the process:

It should be pretty easy to re-create.

Hey @refectio can you copy and paste the exact content you’re posting to a pastebin (https://pastebin.com/) and link to it here so I can see what text you are referring to?

Hi Evan, have you had a chance to look at this and are you able to reproduce the issue?

Hey @refectio I'm able to reproduce the issue and I'm looking into a fix. It will be a couple weeks before we implement it, however.
