PDF documents slow to download and complete to view

It may be that I have an old PC, but are pdf documents slower to download and view etc. from ifixit

When I click on the pdf link in the answer instead of a while to download and appear, it slowly appears piecemeal. I tried on another faster PC but it still took ages to eventually complete and appeared as pages at a time instead of the whole document being ready.

I tried some other pdf docs from ifixit and they seemed to load faster but it still didn’t seem a smooth process.

I realize that you have to wait for all the data to be downloaded. Perhaps I miss not seeing a download progress indicator ;-)

Hopefully this makes sense.
