Bug! - Clicking on Guide picture to zoom opens two images!

@evan - Can someone look into the Zoom action. If you click on the magnifying tool it works correctly (one window opens). If you click once on the picture two windows open.

Hi @danj ,

It works OK when I tried it on some images in a few repair guides.

Click on the magnify symbol, only one window open. Click on the image, only one window opens, when I click to magnify in that window it is still only the one window.

Win10/Chrome.

Have you also noticed that an OP's avatar shown with a question, especially if it is a custom one and not one provided by ifixit, sometimes only shows the top half of the avatar image?

When you refresh the page the image is complete. it is only intermittent though.

i haven't noticed it on meta ifixit, only on ifixit answers

Cheers

Using MacOS with Safari it's not working correctly with it.

The avatar error is a session failure to the server from your system. The TCP block ID's sequence was lost.

Hi Dan,

I'll have the devs look into this.

Sorry @danj, we haven't been able to reproduce this bug. Can you post step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce it, along with screenshots and urls for the pages that this is happening on?

by

@danj we found it. Turns out my browser was blocking the second tab as a popup. We'll work on getting a fix out.

Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry it took so long! We've been busy with the homepage redesign.

@kyle - Fully understand ;-}

Any chance to fix the device view for the Mac's? It was at the top and now its buried below the Comuter listing.
