@kyle @oldturkey03 - I pity the Brits if it happens, such a big mistake!

Northern Ireland will become a hot bed again if they put a wall up. Then Scotland & Shetland island's will break ranks and re-join the EU, What will they do then? Invade them? Blood will be spilled needlessly and the confusion will only hurt all of them!

@danj without getting to much into the politics, I do understand the why. The British, as well as other nations (Germany and France specifically), feel like they are losing their national identity by being told how to run their own country. Sure it could be a mistake but it could also be the best thing that ever happened. It's all up to the decisions that are being made following an exit. I support whatever the british people decide.

The EU is a good thing not a bad thing!

Each country has its own identify and its own government. Brussels only defines issues that span across all of the EU. Its no different than how our federal government defines global laws under a collective vote of all of the states. Yes, it gets messy at times!

The loss of identity I think has more to do with the dilution of their language. Here in the states we encounter that as many native Indian languages have been lost. I wish we had worked harder to support them. While languages are under siege, the cultural activities are still alive! But the locals need to sustain them!

The bigger issue is mostly mismanagement of debit (Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain) as well as a few countries that have been struggling under the upheaval like Germany, Italy & France as they're mostly agricultural which got into trouble over extending what they had for their taxation. That is what got the EU into trouble! Thats the core issue with the brits, and I'm sure Germany & France have similar feelings too. Over time these growing pains will lessen. Look how long it took the US to build out the states it has. It wasn't Instant soup! Which is what the EU went through.

Things that people often forget is the good a collective can offer help like when natural events like fires, floods or earth quakes happen when manpower the financial support is needed.

Not sure, if US people got the full picture of what's going on over here in Europe at the moment. The best explanation about what is happening in the UK that I got so far is that there are a lot UK citizens (about 51%) that feel threatened by the fact that the EU allows people to work in all EU countries. Tensions over immigration have risen significantly in Britain in recent years. When the EU expanded to include more Eastern Europe countries in the mid-2000s, the UK was about the only country to allow them to come to work in their country immediately. And they did. This was a huge stress factor for most public systems such as hospitals and child care. Anyways, there is one thing that the EU and UK is agreeing on. Nobody wants to have the no-deal scenario. And everything else is just a huge question mark. Whatever happens, iFixit will keep on going to help people in the UK to fix things. And this also includes the warranty on iFixit tools.

This is a good question, you most likely will keep your warranty on your iFixit tools because it was promised.

I don’t see why it would be voided if and when Brexit takes place. A sellers warranty has nothing to do with country the product is being sold unless the country stipulates a longer warranty.

iFixit’s warranty is spelled out here: The iFixit Warranty
