iFIxit more useful with teardown input from Louis Rossmann?
While iFixit teardown is excellent, Louis Rossmann’s technical analysis of motherboards etc would be a huge addition.
Is this a worthwhile discussion?

Both serve different audiences!
Just like doctors who need to understand how the full body ticks before specializing in a given discipline.
People who are just trying to understand the basics is what iFixit covers. Yes, we also dabble in basic electronics, we just don’t get into the deep brain surgery Louis gets into.
You will find us often point people to Louis’s site when people are looking for a deeper understanding of the logic and how to troubleshoot at that level.

I've dabbled in board-level information before and covered more advanced repairs, but I only do it when it makes sense to do so and isn't complicated to explain.
You really can't explain how to work on a fried Mac motherboard to many of the users here, but if you can generalize the component failures it can be sort of made to work.
