Auto delete answer using iPhone

I recently replied to an Ifixit topic with an iPhone using Edge browser, in my answer there was an emoticon, and when I hit the comment button everything went good except that a portion of my answer was deleted, more precisely all what I wrote after the emoticon which was deleted too, perhaps because the text editor doesn’t support it. But that doesn’t mean that it has to delete everything that comes after.

I didn’t try this again to avoid spamming so maybe it’s a rare bug, but I don’t really think so.

Thanks for your patience while I look into this! According to our devs, this is a known issue that they are trying to fix. I’ll let you know if I hear any updates in the meantime. I appreciate you sharing this issue!

I don't have this exact problem. I'm new here and I just tried to post a question and it auto deleted, this happened 2 times. I don't get it, there were no links or emojis or anything weird. Just the question.

Hi @moster1002 ,

I've reopened your question so hopefully it will be answered soon by someone.

My only thought as to why they were deleted is perhaps the iRobot got it wrong and thought that the model and part numbers etc you provided in the question were phone numbers and therefore spam.

It happens occasionally ;-(

I've restored your lost 'rep" points and also merged the two questions you posted so as to minimize any confusion.
