Ifixit protech toolkit screwdriver problem.

Does anyone have a clue on how can i screw the bit shown in the picture back to the screwdriver because it came loose and i can’t find a way to screw it back in. When i try to screw it back in it turns on itself.

It just snaps in. Center it and push it on.

@zafatenko - You may need a new handle. Lets see what the iFixit has to say.

@kristen - Any ideas?

It unscrewed itself i can't just push on it.

Hi Zafatenko,

You can re-attach it but first you need to disassemble the screwdriver:

  1. Unscrew the knurled portion from the smooth black section of the driver handle. (You can apply heat to the knurled section where they thread together to help soften the threadlocker.)
  2. Once those two pieces are disassembled, run a 2.5mm hex through the smooth black portion to screw the brass post back into place.
  3. After that is reattached, reassemble the driver. (You can reapply the threadlocker if you wish.)
