Ifixit bit driver blue cap fell off

Hi all!

I have the ifixit pro tech toolkit for just over a month now, and the blue rotating cap fell off. I didn't abuse them any way so it's weird it got loose that easy…

Anyway to fix it? Seems like you can screw it back in, but because it's rotating it's very hard to do so by hand. Or should i just ask for a warranty replacement?

Hi Ian,

Thank you for reaching out! It is possible to repair the handle. You’ll have to separate the knurled part from the upper portion (it is in fact two pieces, but getting them to unscrew is pretty intense). Then you reach a hex wrench up through the upper part and tighten down the brass post.
