access to own contributed repair instrauctions?

why is https://de.ifixit.com/Document/5528/Plan... not accessible or results in error 403/404 ??

even if I try from my user account, I cant access it:

https://de.ifixit.com/Anleitung/verlauf/...

I have new repair instructions ready, but I hesitate to contribute them to iFixit, if the accessibility and open access is impossible or blocked afterwards. So for me this involves a fundamental question on my willingness to share open access repair instructions here on iFixit?

I did a bit of research on this for you to see. From what I can tell it looks like the original was deleted in 2019 or so. Beyond that I cannot say for sure what else could be the cause.

As far as recovering that guide it may be too late. But @amber can say with more certainty if it can be recovered.

I know you wanted a better answer but that's what I found.

Thanks for the tag @nick.

This was before I started at iFixit, but I'm looking into this @jo_fix!

@amber @jo_fix My suspicion is years ago someone flagged it for deletion, to be honest. I know we only use that as a last resort now to the point I almost never see it outside of a few rare cases, but it seemed to be a lot more readily used for a few years. I suspect this got caught in old crossfire whereas we use it as a last resort now.

Thank you all a lot for your sensible replys.

Can someone reload or revive it? I can search a copy in my computer for doing so.

If there appears any problem with the content, I will be happy to receive any review comment for improvement. Only losing the entire content contradicts my motivation to continue contributions. So I would be glad to grant access to the repair instruction https://de.ifixit.com/Document/5528/Plan... , even if this would require a revision now.

@jo_fix Sure! I'll try to do that for you, let me find out how I can make it work and get back to you after the weekend :-)

@jo_fix I know for a while there was a time where the request guide deletion flag was somewhat common. Nowadays it's only used as a last resort. I personally do not use it unless all other options are used first which is extremely rare.

Not sure this helps you much but I can assure you we do not use that flag until nothing else can be used.

For transparency if someone asks me directly to delete a guide I only do it if the author is aware recovery is unlikely and to be 110% sure and the only time I will do it is for the original author. I do not feel comfortable with it under any other conditions for the reason you mentioned -- loss of trust when you do not know why. The reasoning is if you're asking you probably have good reason to ask.
