7 Jahre alter Akku wurde von ifixit verkauft!

Hallo,

ich habe am 24.10. 2022 einen Ersatzakku bei Ihnen bestellt und diesen dann auch zeitnah eingebaut.

Die Kapazität kam nie an den Original-Akku heran, was ich auf das Nachrüstprodukt geschoben habe.

Seit heute geht das Macbook bei ca. 75% aus und der Boden des MacBooks wölbt sich!!!

Ich habe daraufhin das Programm coconutBattery installiert und habe mit großem Interesse/Entsetzen…. festgestellt, das der Akku, welchen ich im Oktober 2022 von

Ihnen erworben habe beim Kauf schon 7 1/2 JAHRE alt war!!! Sie haben mir alten Sondermüll verkauft und ich habe gutdenkend nicht gleich beim Kauf geprüft!

Die Mail an eustore@ifixit.com kam als unzustellbar zurück. Darum versuche ich es hier über das Forum.

Vielleicht kann sich einer der Moderatoren darum kümmern bevor ich endgültig die Geduld verliere und über Social Media trommle!

I ordered a replacement battery from you on 10/24/2022 and installed it promptly. The capacity never came close to the original battery, which I blamed on the retrofit product.

As of today, the Macbook goes out at about 75% and the bottom of the MacBook is bulging!!! I then installed the coconutBattery program and found with great interest/horror.... that the battery, which I received in October 2022 from you have acquired at the purchase was already 7 1/2 YEARS old!!! They sold me old hazardous waste and I didn't check it right away when I bought it!

The mail to eustore@ifixit.com came back as undeliverable. That's why I try it here via the forum.

Maybe one of the moderators can take care of it before I finally lose my patience and drum on social media!

@marionoesel I totally understand how disappointed you must feel. Nothing worse than feeling ignored. Since you did not get an answer from the EU store, I suggest you contact iFixit via support@ifixit.com and explain your situation. What gets lost on me is the instantaneous threat with Social Media. I guess these are the times we live in. Man fängt mehr Fliegen mit einem Tropfen Honig, als mit einer Kanne Essig.

You are not even giving iFixit a chance to rectify this. You can always use your Social Media Trommel if iFixit does not resolve this.

Ein Hinweis: bei Akkus von dritter Seite werden öfter die Chips von alten zerlegten Akkus eingebaut. Es kann also wirklich sein, dass der Akku an sich neu ist, der Chip aber alt. Das wäre dann eigentlich kein Mangel. Ich bin sicher, dass der sehr gute Service von iFixit das Problem lösen kann.

A note: with third-party batteries, the chips of old disassembled batteries are often installed. So it may really be that the battery itself is new, but the chip is old. That would actually not be a defect. I am sure that the very good service of iFixit can solve the problem.

Hallo @marionoesel !

Tut mir voll leid, zu hören, dass du Schwierigkeiten hattest, unser Support-Team zu erreichen. In der Zwischenzeit haben sie dir ja schon geschrieben und ich gehe davon aus, dass du dann im direkten Kontakt dein Anliegen schnell lösen kannst.

Trotzdem wollte ich nochmal kurz auf den Umgang mit dem aufgeblähten Akku hinweisen, damit dir nichts passiert!
