What to use for Pixel 7 battery adhesive

I'm replacing the motherboard but reusing the battery and I need to re-adhesive it. It looks like adhesive is included with the replacement battery but not available on its own. Is there a way to get this? Is there a generic adhesive I should be using? Would appreciate any workarounds people have used. Thanks!

I would use [Tesa tape|https://www.ifixit.com/products/tesa-613...|new_window=true].

@adamrycroft , You’re right—battery adhesive is only included with replacement batteries, and we don’t sell it separately. This is because even if a battery looks fine, removing and reinstalling it can cause unseen damage, so we’re extra cautious about battery safety. That’s why we bundle the adhesive with the battery.

That said, @nick is right, if you’re reusing your battery, you can use Tesa tape or another high-quality double-sided adhesive designed for electronics. Just make sure it provides a strong but safe hold without putting too much stress on the battery.

Hope that helps! Let us know how the repair goes.
