I have a varistor that got blown from a rice cooker and i have acquired a new varistor though i am uncertain if it would be okay to use it. Would anyone be able to help?
As long as they are rated the same then it will be fine. Even in the factory they will switch component vendors to the one who is the cheapest per run as long as the spec is the same.

That i do understand, though the varistor in the 2 pictures that i added have 2 different markings on them.
