@alberteinst6187 Your Workbench is basically your own library of the stuff you own: phones, laptops, appliances, even vehicles. A workbench event is any entry you log on one of those items. That can be a note, a photo, a video, a document, or a meter reading like mileage.

A maintenance event is a specific kind of entry. It's you logging actual upkeep or a repair on one of your items, think an oil change or tire rotation on a car, a battery replacement, or a screen replacement. You can even schedule them ahead of time and mark them done once you finish.

That's where those badges come in. Well Maintained is for logging five completed maintenance events on a single item. Repair Photographer is for adding photos to five workbench events. And Maintenance Master is for completing fifteen maintenance events on a single item.

If you want to check it out, look for the little toolbox icon next to the search bar at the top of the iFixit page. That's your Workbench. Click in and start poking around. And if you have any feedback once you do, please let us know.

Hi!

Am I missing something in the "My Workbench" side-bar?

When I click it I can see the devices I've added to my workbench / have clicked "I have this". Under said devices I can see quick links to Parts, Guides, and Answers, but nothing more. No note section, or place to upload private photos or stuff?

(I've checked both on Firefox and Chromium based browsers)

We have a lot more planned for this feature, but it's not live yet.

The badges that have gone live so far are not possible to earn. They are a sneak peek of what is to come!

Thank you for the clarification :)

Right now, Workbench is a pretty simple collection of your things. It's about to get a lot fancier. Stay tuned!
