Convert mac mini to a MacBook Pro

I was wondering if using the wonderful teardown of the mac mini, it would be possible to install the parts into a macbook laptop. I was thinking of getting a broken macbook(good screen, battery, and keyboard) and doing a teardown of that and trying to refit it with the mac mini parts. Does this sound resonable to do and is there a particular model of macbook that would lend itself for this. Or should I really just sell the mini and buy a used macbook(clearly not as fun)?

Any thoughts or tips from the teardown experts is welcome.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the parts in the Mac Mini will not swap into a MacBook.

Appreciate your answers thanks. Was hoping to do it the easy way but looks like selling and buying is the way to go!

Scott I'm going to have to say you're wrong. They will 100% fit in a Mac Pro, and possibly an iMac.

I have read somewhere that a Mini was built into a slimline briefcase. As I recall the Mini and powerpack were installed on the bottom and a LCD in the lid. Plenty of room for the cables and mouse/keyboard. Made for a interesting laptop(?) that did not look like one. I am including a link to a page with several post on the subject. Good luck.
