Posted new guide for Projection TV.

I just finished repairing this beast, thought I'd make a guide out of it. It would be nice if you all could look through it and see what it needs etc. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing-Mi... Thanks.

Hi Mike,

a few things..Love the blue nailpolish, it's very you! You have a lovely living room, looks like it's from a show home or a magazine; very posh!

I never knew you could buy a tv built in to the chimney, I guess we're pretty backward over here.

I guess with anything you've got to assume that the person wanting to fix their machine may well have enthusiasm but lack knowledge. (Imagine you're trying to teach a 5 year old?) Maybe a few big overview shots with an accompanying close up would help? It helps keep people oriented and if all photo's are the same way up etc it helps continuity ( I find myself looking over photos before and after in guides just to check I've got the right parts, it's pretty easy to get disoriented for me) Also I have no idea what the abbreviations are for, does it matter what they mean or are they just a reference to what to pull off?(I thought they were just labels but if they are more maybe they need a definition??)

I am nit-picking, you've done a great job here and it'd be cool to know whether your guide can be used for other mitsubishi tv's in the range? You know how lazy the designers are and it's likely that all the WS range are similar inside.

Hi Jen, I see what you mean ;-) It is a beast and I will get some more pictures posted that will show more of the complete backside. You are right about the "abbreviations", they are actually the markings on the PCB's I will clarify this as well. What do you think about listing all the models that could be fixed this way? Blue nail polish is from OT3 junior :-) Thank you for your direction. Good to see you back :-)

I guessed OT3 junior was the hand model, seems the fixing is catching or did you have to use bribery? lol. Don't know how you'd go about the model listing but if they are all similar maybe just WS- series?? It'll still show up in google searches anyway..
