iPhone 4S Pentalobe screw size

I bought an iFixit ProTech toolkit but the Pentalobe #2 bit is too large for the pentalone screws on my iPhone 4s and my partners iPhone4. Do Apple use more than 1 size Pentalobe screw on the iPhone 4 & 4S ?

No, there's just the one size of Pentalobe for the iPhone. It's likely that you got a defective bit.
