What do you think of this search prototype?

We just put a new search prototype up on the site, and we're eager to hear what you think of it. If you're able, please take some time to try it out, then let us know how it went.

If you search for something you think should be there, are you able to find it? If so, how close to the top of the list was the result you were looking for? If not, what was your query and what were you expecting to see? Try using the controls that show up along the left side of search results (facets) to narrow down results. Click on a couple results to make sure they take you where you expect them to.

We want to know what you find confusing or bad about the interaction and what you like. We'll consider your experiences as we work on the next iteration.

Keep in mind that this is an early prototype. It's using a snapshot of data from a week back, so no new content will show up. It's also rough around the edges and bound to change. We're hoping you can help us decide what needs to change first. Thanks!

Shawn Tice, looks good and has a clean feel to it. right now it appears as if your left hand controls are still disabled since they are non-functioning. Personally I like the clean look (no frills) and the ease of navigation. Good job.

All of the stuff on the left should be working. Is it loading a new page, but not filtering as you'd expect, or is it just not doing anything at all when you click them?

Searched "Screwdriver" and "screw driver"

Sometimes I get this

For both options.

But it looks nice and seems responsive and far reaching! I searched "rainbow monkeys" and got a teardown that independently mentioned "rainbow" and "monkey." So that's cool.
