How to Upload high resolution pictures into a IFIXIT Repairguide

Dear all,

I want to create a Teardown on IFIXIT.

All is fine till the upload of Pictures. The upload Manager let me upload the pictures, but I cannot Place them into the Article. It always tells me that I have to Crop the Picture! Whaaaat?

Other Articles from you all, have photos/pictures beyond 4000x4000 pixels. And I only are able to post pictures from 1520x1140 pixels?

Is that normal?

Please so. can tell me how to upload higher resolution pictures?

Kind regards,

fixer

Chosen Solution

You can upload large images! But all guide (and teardown) images are 4:3 aspect ratio. So if you took your pictures with an SLR, it will ask you to crop them to match the rest of the images on the site.

You're almost there. Just crop your photos to 4:3 and you'll be good to go.

Welcome (back) to iFixit!
