1 Need 2 new guides approved.
So, I need 2 new guides approved. I know I usually do one in these cases, but in this case I have to. The reason is I decided to phase out the DVD instructions in my Linux media guide replacement in favor of USB flashdrive only, and I needed a middle ground that can be agreed upon. This is my proposed solution to get around the fact I decided to remove it. These guides are my change to reflect how computers are starting to lose the DVD drive, so it doesn't make sense to include it anymore. It would make more sense to drop it, and if someone needs it offer something that allows the USB drive to be used in a way that gets around the lack of support pre 2005 machines can lack.
As a final passing for the change, I did archive the last versions before I changed this part of the guide for now, but I may decide to remove them at a later point when the guide changes enough to say it's not as close as it was when I made the change. The archives are in the Linux media guide. I have an iFixit PDF, and a Google Drive link.
It should also at least be noted here I used a machine with USB boot support for the guide, since it was handy. It's not the machine I intend to use the guide for, but it had to do. If I mention that in the actual guides is a whole different question.
