Teardown appreciation points or similar?

I was looking through some pretty good teardowns tonight for some ideas. While trying to leave some sort of "credit" for the persons who did the teardown, I found it pretty much non-existent. Do you think it would be appropriate to add some sort of "Give the Author" points, like you do on the repair guides? After all, somebody took the time to tear down their stuff, took pictures etc. Just wondering.....

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sure, that's a reasonable idea. We don't do it on teardowns that we write because we don't want to hoard all the points. But for community teardowns, we should do something along those lines.

@kyle I think it is only fair that your team gets points for all their hard work too (besides getting paid of course). I do not see any issues with that.

Wait... You get paid to tear down things? I wanna do that!

@gigabit87898 I am sure you'll qualify for a job with iFixit right after you finish university with a degree in computer science or EE ;-)

@gigabit87898 - Besides you'd need to move to San Luis Obispo California. Here's some pictures of IFIXIT: Front & main lobby in downtown SLO.
