How do I remove myself from an iFixit watch list?

So I wrote a question on a teardown, and now somehow I'm on some watch list, being spammed every time someone writes something new.

The e-mail says "If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you may remove yourself from the watch list by visiting the link." - what link? I can't find the link it's talking about anywhere. It's not in the e-mail nor can I find any "unwatch" link on the topic page itself.

So I put it to you - how can I un-watch something and stop getting spammed by iFixit?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

That's a fair point, and we need to do something to address it. Here's two ways you can shut off notifications:

  • Hit the 'disable notifications' link on the teardown itself. This only disables notifications for that teardown.
  • In your edit profile page, unchecking 'Automatic reply and answer notifications' should disable all notification emails.

I'm sorry you're getting these emails. We had no intention of this being a nuisance-- the feature was designed to keep people in the loop on their own teardowns, and I don't think it should be emailing you on followup teardown comments. We'll work on changing that right away.
