Shipping Costs Too High

I need a digitizer for an iPad4, and shipping is going to be $12.75? That item should be no more than a few ounces in total weight, and can be shipped in a padded envelope. $12.75 for that?! You guys already charge about 50% more on the item itself than competing dealers, and now you want to gouge me on the shipping too? No thanks.
