Why are these guides archived?

Some of the lg g2 guides are archived for no reason, like the battery and the motherboard. How would I unarchive them?

You can't unarchive them. I can tell you that much.

The most probable reason for it is they need to be reworked. It seems like that's happening with a lot of old guides, at least officially.

At least on my guides that I opted to archive unofficially, I put (Archived) in the title. This is how I tell readers this guide is old and the guide will not change once I make any final changes before I consider it a done deal. Others can still edit it, but I'm no longer going to maintain it. If someone else wants to, they're more then welcome to.

Nick's right, the G2 is slated for a new set of guides in the near future. We sometimes archive old guides shortly before the new ones go up so as to avoid accidental duplication/confusion.

That's what I figured, since I do the same thing when I archive a guide or refer to it as legacy material. The major example to show the time I did it was when I went from the LJ 1012 W7 fix to the HP UPD guide. I've kept the 1012 guide around, but it's no longer recommended for new installs, but can be useful if you can't get the HP UPD to work and you own the LJ 1012.

It doesn't make sense to get rid of it, but I've moved on at the same time.
