Included Ifixit bits not magnetic enough?

Last night I replaced the battery in an Iphone5 using the included Ifixit kit.

The phillips bit would not hold the screws so it was necessary to try to place them back in the holes using the tweezers. Is this common with these or did I just get a bad one?

Better screwdrivers for replacing screws?

Thanks

Hi Tom,

Thanks for reaching out about your iFixit fix kit!

If the problem is just that the phillips kit driver isn't magnetized to hold the screws, you could re-magnetize it easily enough yourself by rubbing a magnet on it.

If, however, the head of the kit driver is not holding its shape well, we'd be happy to send a replacement kit driver out to you.

If it is the latter scenario, please contact us through help.iFixit.com with your order number and a request for a new kit driver and our customer service team will get you taken care of.
