Please PLEASE offer iPhone battery only *with* adhesive!

So the only way to get an iPhone battery with adhesive strips currently is to order the kit with all the little plastic bits - I now have 4 sets of this kit since I always need the adhesive strips. Since they are destroyed when removing the battery the battery only is kinda useless but I really don't need a new kit each time! It's just wasteful.

Please please PLEASE offer a battery+adhesive option!!!!!

@pccheese - I think the issue is having to order À la carte As they fail to read the description fully.

I don't see why that would be worth considering. if you don't need the tools, you can order the battery and strips in the same order and have it available.

While a kit would be a good idea, I don't think it makes sense since they have the fix kit (which includes it) and you can easily buy both at the same time you're getting the battery if you own the tools. The fix kit is a kit for someone who doesn't have the tools, which is why it's included there. If you're just buying the part it's relatively safe to assume the person ordering the parts knows you also need the strips and they will put it in the order with their battery.

Ya. If I needed to replace my iPhone battery I would buy the kit even if I have the tools for it. I use my tools a lot so I need new ones once in a while.

It isn't much more and it doesn't hurt to have the suction cup in your toolkit. I own the Pro Tech so I'm set, but I'd buy the kit for extra bits, another handle and to replace the standard suction cup the Pro Tech includes. $5 for extra tools for the toolbox isn't a bad deal.

@nick I think they failed to realize the pull down offers them a choice to order the battery alone. And/or they didn't realize the strips are a separate part.

I don't see why a kit is needed because a group of people didn't read the description and see that.

Yeah, but I ordered a kit, and two extra batteries for the Iphone 6, only to get the extra batteries and discover they did not come with adhesive strips. Now, tell me, why do you even sell a battery without adhesive strips, since they are required to install the battery? Now I have to order the strips, but I sure wont order them from IFIXIT.

You do need to read the fine print ;-}

"Note: This option does not include tools or the Battery Adhesive Strips."

@kyle - Does it make sense adding the strips to the battery only SKU? I think the idea of having to order them as a separate part is causing some angst.

Maybe we should add to the battery only page a URL link to the strips page to help remind them.
