Has anyone put in an iPad camera?

Supposedly there is a place in the present iPad for a camera. Has anyone put one in? V.2 of the iPad is rumored to have two cameras but I do not want to spend the money again just for FaceTime that is built into the software. Has anyone tried this yet on the first gen iPad?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

No. As far as I know, no one has successfully installed a camera in the iPad, it seems to lack the correct headers on the motherboard. Google agrees with me as far as I can tell.

... that's what I call helpful rab ;) Nothing like telling a user to buy a piece of hardware that wouldn't support the software he wants.

Ah, qik is freeware, and apple claims they're opensourcing the ft protocol, so any android programmer could decide to make a FT app for android

I'll believe it when I see it.

Yes, I saw a photo of one with a camera in it. It was in Steve Jobs hands, so it will be coming out. I'm sure he's using Facetime on it. Here's a picture: http://www.cultofmac.com/did-steve-jobs-...
