20 downvotes for this answer...really?

I was going through some of @oldturkey03 answers and came across this:https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/5323...

It has 20 downvotes (and possibly more) and there is really no logical reason for there to be even one downvote. It’s a perfectly good answer so I wonder if there isn’’t any foul play going on here.

EDIT 2019/02/07

I’m going through some other older OT answers and I am seeing the same pattern. Check these out:

Looks like it's a similar issue as to what happened here

Yeah @tronke makes a good point. Looking at the details, I don't actually see any downvotes. I'll pass this along to the devs and see if it might be a bug.

The fix for the calculation has been run. The scores now reflect the actual votes. We are still looking into the original cause. Thanks for letting us know about this so we could get it fixed.

I still see negative scores for the first and last question I linked in the Question. Is that a true reflection of the votes?

by

@refectio looks like it was fixed, I don't see negative votes on the answers anymore.

by

Yep, it's all fixed now.

I see the same thing, but when I click on the score, there is no history of down votes.

@kristen - I think the issue is how the code runs when the network is not stable.. Aaron commented he created a similar problem when he was trying to up volt and had it jump by a few when he was on vacation in Mexico. I think his posting is still here in Meta.

@danj i think this is what you're looking for Found a glitch in Moderation? also I added an upvote to the post originally mentioned here.
