French Answers Forum - who is this?

I’ve been spending some time moderating the French Answers forum lately. There are some really good contributors but the discipline is somewhat lacking ;>).

I just noticed a “contributor” called Lutin Communauté that takes questions and answers from the English (and possibly other language) Answers Forum, translates the questions and then translates the best or accepted answers. I think this is noble but I wonder if this is an iFixit-approved endeavour or not. If someone or something is going through, for example, the english Q&A, it should be attributing the original content provider and linking the original Q&A. I say this because I noticed an answer that is identical to what @mayer does for appliances.

If this is done via iFixit, then you should link the original Q&A so that fixers can see who is answering what and see if the reputation/votes/selections gives them the confidence to proceed. If this is an individual contributor, then I will send him/her a note asking for the same.

Hi @refectio !

Thank you very much for sharing your concern with us !

This is indeed an official account we’re using in order to boost the French Answers forum and you’re absolutely right, we didn’t take that point into account. We’ll go through the Q&A that have been posted so far and make sure the original Q&A is linked so that credit can be provided to the original content provider.

Again, thanks a lot for drawing our attention to this!
