@oldturkey03 I don't see an EDU group association, which is where the red flag came from.
If it was an EDU student easy write-off as another misguided student group. They also stand out differently from spam.

@sarahw Please give us a Meta avatar so we feel better about giving you a hard time and can recognize you. Who threw you into the lions den? Welcome ;-)
Think about who techs are and their environment. You live surrounded by people while a tech is all alone in a back room and maybe talks to one to two customers a day. It's a very solitary life. So social skills are not outstanding most of the time. Actually iFixit ends up being our social life. ergo we tend to be a rather strange breed. Rather brighter than usual as the profession demands it. More apt to relax with a good technical manual or video than the Iliad. But fairly close knit here. I hope you can enjoy your time with us and learn about a new subculture..
