URL parameter need correcting

Hi @kristen,

Noticed this anomaly.

When going to this URL instead of going to a page for a 46” panasonic TV it ends up on a page for a 50” panasonic TV.

I realize that this may be a bit picky but it can lead to confusion.

here’s some images to show what I mean

Hi @jayeff, thank you for pointing this out. We will look into this and get back to you with more information after the holiday season. We appreciate you finding this!

Hey @jayeff. Good catch! Just wanted to clarify before I make any changes—would it be more helpful to change the URL to match the page title for the 50" version? Or change the page title to match the 46" version in the URL?

by

Hi @kristen ,

By the looks of it either way will do.

As far as I can tell there aren't any questions that actually relate to either model specifically although presumably the 46" version was selected as the closest available by those who did select it for their device model but then they didn't notice the change when they posted their question

Cheers and have a Happy New Year

Hi @jayeff ,

Thanks for your patience. I updated the page here. I kept the 46” in the URL and changed the title of the page to match. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do!

Hi @einstein333 ,

I taken care of it.

FYI if you wish to report spam the best place is to find the Monthly spam folder question in Meta and submit it there.

The ifixit admins look at it every day and take the appropriate action.

Spam folder December 2020

You can also do this (as you now have 100 rep points) in the ifixit answer forum by clicking on Options > Moderate > Remove as spam in the offending question/answer or comment (actions)

This will show up as a vote in the Moderation page. Once it has received 5 votes (you can only vote once per entry) it will be automatically deleted.

usually the volunteer moderators in the answer forum check the moderation page most days and if the spam is very offensive or persistent by the same user will delete it regardless of the number of votes.

At least that's what I do.

Cheers
