Ordered an ssd and caddy

Ordered a framework and ssd for my late 2008 MacBook Pro so I could add another hard drive but in the form of an ssd.

The items arrived today in the post or so I thought. When I opened the box I found the ssd and the framework for the ssd to plug into but when I ordered I wanted the upgrade bundle so I would get the data transfer wire and also the spudger and screwdriver and bits but the only thing I got was with the frame with 2 tiny screws and a tiny Philips head screwdriver.

I’ve tried several times to contact the Europe office but I’ve had no reply. I was wondering if there was a problem today at the European office as I’ve not heard anything back. Not only that on the invoice it’s listed the 2 ref numbers for the frame and the ssd but underneath it says following products will be delivered soon which not may includes the missing bits. That and i wasn’t made aware that there was possibly going to be things missing or delayed.

Thanks Dan hopefully someone will get back to me about it as I can’t do the upgrade I was hoping to.

That and I’ve already upgraded to Catalina and the MacBook Pro using Dosdude patch and I’ve created a bootable usb stick and this is my first Mac so I’m not 100% sure about using the Mac as it’s all new to me let alone using an ssd. The drive in it at the moment is a mechanical one but I’m hoping to learn and do whatever repairs as it wasn’t that expensive with it being a late 2008 one and apparently a good starter for being modded.

I’m guessing I’m not going nuts then there does sound like it’s been an oversight? I’ve got the order number and a screen shot of the order email and also a picture of the piece of paper that came in the box.

I don’t wanna break the seal on the packaging for the ssd as it’s still got it’s security black label on. As for the framework the drive is secured into and the only screwdriver that came with the stuff is a tiny black handled Phillips screwdriver and no spudger or cable in sight.

I can confirm that the lady Athina you’ve been exchanging with is from the Europe office. I can see she’s just replied to your last email half an hour ago and confirmed that the upgrade bundle you’d originally ordered will be sent to you next week as there has been a stock shortage.

I’m confident that you’ll be able to sort everything out with her!

Hi Sandra many thanks for that I’ve received an email earlier on this afternoon confirming that fedex will be delivering a parcel to me on Monday. I just hope it’s got everything I need so I can get on with the swap out of the optical drive to the ssd.
