Testing the "Slim" Xbox receiver - this one works right :-)

So this is a bit of an update in relation to the Xbox receiver guides. I picked this up with the intention to see where the differences are and make a new device page, but the set is $20 extra, and I had to make do with what I could buy. I was thinking I could make an updated guide so I can split the problem points away from the original and it just worked this time around :-). Yes it's anticlimactic but on one hand I'd rather see it work this time around instead of need a guide like the old one. I was also wondering about the new d-pad but this receiver gave me an excuse.

I will test this on my 6300U 840 G3 as this is my 6200U one, but I hope the same thing happens. If so, guide may not be needed.

Yep - no issue on my 6300U 840 either

Because I know someone who inevitably ask where I got that sticker on my rMBP, search "rainbow apple logo" or "rainbow apple logo macbook" on eBay. Look for one designed for computers, not a repro of the logo blown up, or vintage NOS. Yes, mine is printed on transparent vinyl so it "glows" like the white logo.

Hah, that's a great sticker Nick! Looks very classy.

@arthurshi It's just the white logo is boring to me. I grew up around the old school machines with the rainbow logo, so it's the one I know better.

I get the glowing logo, with the original 6 colors. I don't know why Apple doesn't sell one that can be put on the current generation MacBooks. On the silver machines it blends really well.

@nick I hear you. For the longest time, I had this wrap for my iPad. At least yours still glows! Newer MBPs don't do that anymore :(

@arthurshi In regards to the controller, the receiver in this case was just a bonus. I really just wanted the controller but due to the shortages I got both since it wasn't that much more expensive. My computers support Bluetooth but for $20 I can clear it to see how needed a guide for the new one is - not needed so far.

Not worth the fuss.

I will miss the glow when the 2019 16" becomes cheap and I get a 32/512GB setup but it'll have a rainbow logo as well.
