new bug in ifixit?

Hi @krisrodriguez

Have noticed for a few days now what appears to be a bug in ifixit answers and meta.

When switching between the various options on an ifixit page e.g. all questions> subscribed > devices (in answers) and all questions > subscribed (in meta) a blue line starts to go across the top of the ifixit page that is shown.

The blue line disappears once the page has loaded.

It happens on different devices and OS i.e. Windows and Android anyway

Here's a video that shows what I mean

The line doesn't disappear when switching between options on my user account page, as it goes nearly all the way across the page and then stays on.

Cheers

@jayeff and I thought that was a new feature :-) Looked like a loading bar to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@oldturkey03

Might well be but it's distracting nevertheless.

@jayeff ,

Thanks again for flagging this — and for including the video. I just tested it myself on an M-series Mac running the latest OS and using Firefox, and I’m seeing the same thing on my end. So it definitely looks like something worth digging into further.

If you’re up for it, could you let me know what browser and machine you were using when you noticed it? I know you mentioned seeing it across multiple devices, which is super helpful — any extra detail just helps us confirm how widespread it is across systems.

Appreciate you taking the time to report this.

Update: The dev team is aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Thank you again!

Hi @krisrodriguez

Thanks for that.

First noticed it on a Galaxy A15 phone Android OS Ver.14, UI 6.1, using Chrome app and then on a Win10 Home OS Ver.22H2 PC using Firefox and Win Edge browsers.

Cheers
