I will be interested again in Microsoft's offerings when they provide a Unix-based OS.
I have an XP machine that I find practically useless for anything other than Steam and Reddit. But I'm hardly usual.

If you use a keyboard and mouse I would stay away from it. Windows 7 is a good OS but still not secure enough for me. Selling my custom build and returning to Apple. Currently using Leopard in my G5 and Snow Leopard in my Mini.
