Errors in these guides

A lot of the Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 guides have major errors. In all cases, reference to the battery is actually indicating and pointing to the hard drive. The same applies to the harddrive. The author actually shows the battery. This computer does NOT have a seperate sound card. What this author is showing is actually the wlan (wireless local area network) card.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

U say "Alot", which other guides have errors? Point them out and it won't be a problem to get them altered or fixed.

Great! Thanks for pointing that out. Recognizing problems is the first step to making things better.

That's a community-contributed set of repair guides. It's a wiki, so anyone can make changes.

If you don't have the time and/or expertise to make the changes yourself, add flags to indicate what the problems are. There are a lot of flags to indicate common problems we run into.

Flags are really useful for two reasons:

  1. They provide a 'Reader be aware' notice. It's quite useful to let the audience know that the content isn't perfect, and let them decide how much to trust the information.
  2. They provide a 'To do' list for future editors. Adding flags to guides adds it to our list of things to improve over in the Contribute section.

Couldn't have put it any better. iFixit's mission is only possible if the community works together.
