Hi @jayeff, I found one of their posts that goes to another site too so I think they are trying to be helpful. If they just start bombing the site with the link only and on posts that it is not relevant to then I think we can think about a ban. Thanks so much!

I just deleted the spam before most likely at the same time as you were looking at them, as I saw them on moderation page

Hello @sarahw, these tutorials are probably not spams, but it’s been a while nobody complete them and these tutorial are empty so they bring nothing usefull to iFixit :

Can this guide be moved to somewhere more relevant?
The author has linked it to the 1998 -2004 Ford Focus guides (see In Progress Guides) but it doesn’t appear to be relevant to the topic.
Don’t know if the author was just seeing how things worked here or what. I came across this because I deleted a question in Answers by the author as spam.

Can a Mac expert please look at this guide and also check the “comments” attached at the bottom of the guide please, to either substantiate the claim made in the comments or refute them and then inform both parties, as to what is correct?
There seems to be an ongoing problem between the author of the guide and the user making the comments about whether the guide is OK or harmful. The author hasn’t actually taken the commentator to task about the claims, with any follow up comments of their own in the guide as yet though.
The author of the guide keeps on voting on the Answers Moderation page that the comments be deleted as spam/offensive, which has just happened yesterday, when the moderation received enough votes but then they have been reposted again by the commentator not long afterwards, although the new comments are slightly different in what they state this time.
It’s a shame that I cannot link the comment that has already been deleted by popular vote in the Answers Moderation page as there was more information in it as to what the commentator thinks is wrong with the guide, but perhaps the admin can still dig it out to get a better picture. The original comment (now deleted) was posted by the commentator on 7/21/20 @ 04:19:34 AM

@kristen & @jayeff - I took care of the comments. Both didn't offer any substance to the guide.
The first was complaint on the technique of disconnecting the connectors. Clearly the person hasn't worked on the system to understand the tape pulls are how the connector is disconnected. The second was a complaint on a virus threat. I had no problem with the YouTube video link.
I would say a firm warning text should be placed as this is a bit much for a good 80% of the people reading the guides. I personally like the Rewa vids. But, then again I'm not one of the 80% ;-} I always visit their site and Youtube channel to find them.
I'm a bit concerned about these Rewa images & vids being posted with all of their water marks here in iFixit we typically don't like having people promoting them selves in answers and guides.
I had raised this before as a concern as the level of production doesn't tell the full story.
The best way to think this is all of the CSI TV shows make it so easy we assume it only takes 10 minutes to ID the victim and the suspect! Where in real life it can take weeks if not months or years and lots of forensic effort!
This is where an inexperienced fixer could get into trouble!

@kristen - I added the warning but is there any way to color it Red?
@danj Thanks for adding that! There isn't a way to color the text red in the introduction. You could also add a "Caution" bullet in the applicable step in the guide, which will turn red. I believe in the past, we've asked Rewa to remove his watermarked images, but we can always revisit that conversation if needed. Thanks to you and @jayeff for helping out!
