Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind.

is what Calvin Coolidge once said. We talk of broken supply chains and shortages of so many objects but stop for a minute and think of the acute scarcity of things necessary to life that exist in many other countries. There are many families right now to whom Christmas will not mean much this year. There are families who have lost loved ones and there is still sickness in others, which will take away the importance of the Christmas season. There are empty spaces in families, that will never be filled. For all of these people we should hope that next Christmas will be better.

We all are so blessed “Peace on earth, good will to all (men)” really has a meaning this year It is so amazing about how much more meaning even the greeting Merry Christmas contains this year than it did a year ago. Let us reflect and celebrate how fortunate we really are this year!

Best of all, Christmas would not be the same without friends like you. The iFixit team has done so much for me, my community and my own state of mind. Everybody on that team, along with the community on Answers, has provided me with plenty of “Chicken soup for the Soul” when I needed it. You all kept me sane, kept me focused on fighting the good fight. For that I am forever grateful.

Really, I just wanted to say I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

G.d bless you M. , you're a good friend although we never met IRL. I wish you and your family all the best, a merry Xmas state of mind and all the best for the new year :)

Best wishes for all the iFixit family and all contributors, old timers who kept things running for ages and newcomers who are the future.

Every Year my family watches Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life even if we are not together. It offers a good reflection of the past year as well as the battles we have faced. I always tear up at the end!

Today our collective battle for life is larger than just ones family as our whole planet faces a new scourge of a virus which just won’t give up. Now on its third mutation, and soon just in the states alone we will have lost 1 million people to it, let alone the rest of the worlds battle with 4.4 Million alone so far.

We still have a long way to got to contain this menace but as we move to the new year I think we are on the top of the bell curve! As Omicron is not as deadly, more so if you’ve been inoculated, but the earlier COVID variations are still very deadly and many still haven’t gotten any shots as much as they want them!

Please! Do your part not only getting you shots, wear face covering (the M95 masks being ideal) when gathering. And work on convincing others the need to do their part.

Be safe and healthy! And reflect on this last year and our renewed battle with this beast as we go forward.
