How do i send points to someone who helped me with an answer?

You see, on this site rep points are hard earned by answering questions and making guides. When someone answers a question, there are two ways to benefit from it: A. The OP accepts their answer by clicking the "Accept as solution" button or B. Someone (anyone) Upvotes a answer by clicking the green up arrow.
If your answer is accepted as "The Solution" you are awarded 30 rep points.
If your answer is upvoted, you receive 12 rep points.

Correct, this is the way it works now. Slicing off a portion of your rep to award someone else would be a neat feature! We haven't built anything like that yet, though. Good idea!

Yea, kinda defeats the idea of rep anyway.

Unfortunately rep points are not transferable.
The only way to award someone with rep point is to choose their answer as a solution.
